We Love Corvettes

I traded for a this car about a year ago did not think much about because I had a 1988 corvette already and had just started really getting excited about how they handle. I have spent hour’s researching these issues and wonder what some other than myself feels the answers are?

1- This car's has a vin number that is very unusal because of the X in the ninth position, I cannot find another one like it, help?

2- The car has a push button starter switch under the driver side dash, it does not look like it is store bought.

3- The car's weight is 400lb’s less than my 1988 corvette. Why? And 65 Lbs less the motor trend says the ZR1 weighs. Mine does not have the 32 valve extra added.

4- The car has the 17x9.5 Front and 17x11 ZR1 rims on it. I put a standard set of 17" Corvette rims off a 1996 model my dad got down on it for the first time and when going from first to second gear at 60 mph it lost traction and he almost lost control because it shocked him because it was so much faster than the 1988 model.

So I have question so I am really needing some help with answers?

I have a 1989 corrvette with an X in the 9th position in my serial number. This vette also is equiped with a push button strater switch under the dash which allows you to crank the car also.
